THE WORD (YESHUA) QUOTING FROM THE WORD (TORAH)
(Ps 119:11 [KJV])
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Many do not realize how much Yeshua (Jesus) quoted from the Torah or the prophets. Here we explore the words of Yeshua as found in the New Testament and mirror them against what is seen in the Torah or the Prophets – IN GREEN.
We Begin… (THE MOST IMPORTANT REFERENCE IS AT THE END – IN RED)
IMPORTANT NOTE: We highly recommend the use of the King James Version of the Bible to see these comparisons that God gave us. The newer Bible versions are based on corrupted text (Wescott and Hort) as well as little focus on being literal to God’s word. Listen to these presentations to understand more.

A few parallel references are listed here. Also, you can look at and compare the verses that were fulfilled by Yeshua.

For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
From the Prophets..
(Ps 8:4-6 [KJV] )

In case you do not know it, the “Son of the Living God” is God (Matt 16:16) and He (Christ/Yeshua) is the ROCK of our salvation (Ps18:2 and 18:31).
For those of you that still do not believe Christ is the Rock (some still think Peter). It is written.
(1Cor 10:4 [KJV])
And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

A MOST IMPORTANT REFERENCE. IN IT YOU WILL SEE THAT YESHUA WAS REFERENCING THE TORAH (COMMANDMENTS)
KEEP THIS IN MIND: Yeshua was quoting from the Torah. And if He is quoting from the Torah the text must be interpreted in the same way it was intended from its point of origin. In other words, the interpretation and meaning in the Old Testament must be the same as the New Testament.
(John 14:15 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Again, from the Torah Yeshua quoted.
(Exod 20:6 [KJV])
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments (Torah or Commandments of God or Law of Moses).
And here.
(Deut 5:10 [KJV])
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
Here.
(Deut 7:9 [KJV])
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Here.
(Deut 11:1 [KJV])
Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, ALWAY.
Here.
(Deut 11:13 [KJV])
And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
Here.
(Deut 11:22 [KJV])
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
Here.
(Deut 19:9 [KJV])
If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
NOW, what does our Lord say in response to the question about how to gain eternal life? He says to the rich young man; it is written..
(Matt 19:17 [KJV])
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments (Torah).
KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND GETTING RID OF ALL THAT YOU HAVE CAN NOT MAKE YOU PERFECT, WHAT MAKES YOU PERFECT IS WHEN YOU OBEY (COMMANDMENTS) AND PUT HIM FIRST (NOT MATERIALS) AND FOLLOW/LOVE HIM. TO BE PERFECT HE SAYS YOU MUST.. it is written
(Matt 19:21 [KJV])
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow (love/believe in/faith) me.
LAST: What is the patience of the “true” saints? It is them that love Him (Yeshua) and keep the commandments of God.
(Rev 14:12 [KJV])
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith (love/follow/believe in) of Jesus.

Question:
Why do most people in church buildings not keep the commandments of God (Torah)?
Answer:
The early church fathers along with the roman catholic church moved away from the “way” (the commandments as found in the Torah). Watch an interview that reveals this truth – Watch Presentation 1.
THE BIG QUESTION:
So what happens when you do not keep His commandments?
Answer:
You become a worker of iniquity (iniquity is the transgression of the law/commandments/Torah of God).
And God says.. it is written.
(Matt 7:23 [KJV])
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
And yes, He (Yeshua) was again quoting from the prophets.. it is written.
(Ps 6:8 [KJV])
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
More about iniquity can be found here (again, iniquity is the transgression of the law/commandments).

To the Student of scripture:
Look at the world of the church building people (CBP). They say Lord Lord every Sunday. They do not obey or even focus on the commandments of the Torah.
Ask yourself this:
Are they (CBP) the Many spoken about here, that are told to depart and not allowed into the Kingdom of Heaven?
(Matt 7:21-23 [KJV])
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many (many means “majority” in the Greek) will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (iniquity means transgression of God’s law/ commandments/ the law of Moses).
IMPORTANT Note: These are church building people, not the people in the world. Why? People in the world do not cast out devils in the name of the Lord.

As you study the New Testament word remember to check the Torah for the quotation. In the Torah, you will have life and have it more abundantly. Why? Yeshua is the Torah (Word); He is the Word of the living God.
Are you a “NO TORAH” person and use scripture to support your position, then you need to read this page.
