TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MINISTRY

COMMENTARY

ON

SHOWING WHAT WAS FULFILLED BY YESHUA IN THE WORD

(Matt 5:17-18 [KJV])
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

HERE WE PROVE FROM THE WORD THE FULFILLMENT OF THE SCRIPTURE THAT SHOWS YESHUA (JESUS) WAS IN THE TORAH OR THE PROPHETS.

Our Lord told us where to look to find the prophecies that spoke about Him fulfilling what was written.
(Luke 24:44 [KJV])
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilledwhich were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

HIS (Yeshua/Jesus) BIRTHPLACE:
(Matt 2:1 [KJV])
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Mic 5:2 [KJV])
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

HE WILL BE BORN OF A VIRGIN
(Matt 1:22-23 [KJV])
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 7:14 [KJV])
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

—-^^—-

HE WILL COME FROM THE TRIBE OF JUDAH
(Heb 7:14 [KJV])
For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Gen 49:10 [KJV])
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

HE SPENT TIME IN EGYPT BEFORE BEING CALLED OUT
(Matt 2:14-15 [KJV])
When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Hos 11:1 [KJV])
When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

A MESSENGER WOULD PREPARE THE WAY FOR MESSIAH
(Luke 3:3-6 [KJV])
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 40:3-5 [KJV])
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

HE WILL BE REJECTED BY HIS PEOPLE
(John 1:11 [KJV])
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 53:3 [KJV])
He is despised and rejected of mena man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

HE IS DECLARED THE SON OF GOD
(Acts 13:33 [KJV])
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Ps 2:7 [KJV])
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

HE WILL SPEAK IN PARABLES
(Matt 13:10 [KJV])
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Ps 78:2 [KJV])
I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

HE WILL HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED
(Luke 4:18-19 [KJV])
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 61:1-2 [KJV])
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind (fix/heal) up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Note: The end part of verse 2 was not read by Yeshua (and the day of vengeance of our God). Why? This is yet to be fulfilled.

HIS PRIESTHOOD IS AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK
(Heb 5:5-6 [KJV])
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Ps 110:4 [KJV])
The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

HE IS THE KING RIDING THE YOUNG ASS
(Mark 11:7-9 [KJV])
And they brought the colt (a young ass) to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Zech 9:9 [KJV])
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

OUT OF THE MOUTH OF THE CHILDREN, HE WOULD BE PRAISED
(Matt 21:16 [KJV])
And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Ps 8:2 [KJV])
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

THE INCIDENT WITH THE STORM AND THE BOAT
(Matt 8:24-26 [KJV])
And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. 26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

This is the fulfilled scripture.
(Ps 107:27-29 [KJV])
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. 28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. 29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

AT HIS NAME EVERY KNEE WILL BOW
(Phil 2:10-11 [KJV])
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This is the fulfilled scripture.
(Isa 45:23 [KJV])
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

AT THE CROSS OF HIS CRUCIFIXION
(Luke 23:35 [KJV])
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

(John 19:23-24 [KJV])
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. 24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

(John 19:36-37 [KJV])
For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. 37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Here is the fulfillment.
(Ps 22:7-8[KJV])
All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

(Ps 22:12-20 [KJV])
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. 13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. 16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. 19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me. 20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

(Ps 34:20 [KJV])
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

THE MONEY PAID TO BETRAY YESHUA WAS USED TO PURCHASE A POTTER’S FIELD
(Matt 27:9-10 [KJV])
Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; 10 And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Zech 11:12-13 [KJV])
And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

HE WOULD BE FORSAKEN
(Matt 27:46 [KJV])
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

HE WOULD BE BEATEN BEYOND RECOGNITION
(John 19:1-2 [KJV])
Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. 2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 52:14[KJV])
As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

—-^^—-

HE WOULD BE BURIED WITH THE RICH
(Matt 27:57-60 [KJV])
When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple: 58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. 59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 And laid it in his own new tombwhich he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 53:9 [KJV])
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

HE WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE DEAD
(Matt 28:2-7 [KJV])
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Ps 16:10 [KJV])
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

AND

(Ps 49:15 [KJV])
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

YESHUA DIED FOR OUR SINS
(Rom 5:6 [KJV])
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 53:12 [KJV])
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

HE IS THE WELL THAT CONTAINS THE WATER OF SALVATION
(John 4:14[KJV])
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life (everlasting life=salvation).

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 12:3 [KJV])
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

THE DEAD IN THE GRAVE SHOULD RISE:
(Matt 27:52-53 [KJV])
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

This is the fulfilled scripture
(Isa 26:19 [KJV])
Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

—-^^—-

HE WILL PUT HIS SPIRIT (THE COMFORTER) IN HIS PEOPLE:
(Ezek 36:26 [KJV])
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

This is the fulfilled scripture (to them that love Him and keep His commandments – John 14:15)
(John 14:16 [KJV])
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

THE KING/LORD IS SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER:
(Luke 22:69-70 [KJV])
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. 70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

(Ps 110:1 [KJV])
A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

FULFILLMENT YET TO COME:

THEY WILL WANT THE ROCKS TO FALL ON THEM:
(Rev 6:16 [KJV])
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Prophesied to let us know when He will return.

(Luke 23:29-30 [KJV])
For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. 30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

We leave you with this. It is written.

(Luke 24:25-27 [KJV])
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Note: These are only a few examples that show the scriptures that were fulfilled in the life of our King.
