COMPARING THE QURAN vs the KJV BIBLE

There is a degree of confusion over what a translation is, versus a version. This page seeks to remove the fog and to clarify the process from root manuscript versions to translation versions. We will not be going into great detail as to all the available manuscripts, but rather giving the general overview to highlight the problem with the Quran.
THE PROBLEM
Muslims teach that there is only one version of the Quran. This is not true because we have found as many as 31 Quran versions in our world today.

FROM ORIGINAL LANGUAGE TO ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS (LANGUAGE)
SOURCE OF ORIGIN QURAN Tradition says that Allah’s Angel Jibril (Gabriel) gave Muhammad the words. The message was communicated and stayed in an oral state for some years. Muhammad memorized and recited them to his companions. The oral traditions were finally written down. In later years, versions of the Quran were published by Imams. To date, 31 versions (books) have been found (Video 1 & 2) – see the Muslims’ behavior after seeing this truth (video 3 & 4). The original language of ALL these original versions of the Qur’an is in Classical Arabic (العربية الفصحى) – nb. None of these Qurans are Translations – click on the link. SOME VERSIONS LISTED HERE OF QURANS (8 out of 31)

SOURCE OF ORIGIN KJV God directly gave Moses the words of the Torah, which he immediately wrote down. The Old Testament (OT) was written in Hebrew and Aramaic. The New Testament (NT) was written in Greek. There are two versions of both the OT and NT of source documents that are used to make the KJV English translation. For the OT, it used the 1. Masoretic Text (Entire OT) and the 2. Samaritan Pentateuch (Gen to Deut). For the NT, it used the 1. Byzantine Manuscripts (Majority Text) and the 2. Alexandrian Manuscripts (minority text). Note that there are no longer any original biblical manuscript documents. What we have today are copies. |
ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS OF THE QURAN English translations were done for several versions of the Quran books shown. All versions were translated from Classical Arabic into English and other Languages. All are reading differently. Again, listen and watch the behavior of Muslims when confronted by this truth of reading differently (have a look at Muslim behavior in videos 3 & 4). | ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE KJV The King James Version (KJV) was translated into English from the following manuscript lines. The Masoretic Text (Hebrew) for the OT and the Byzantine Manuscripts (Greek) for the NT. The Textus Receptus was a Greek translation used for the NT, and this was based on the Byzantine line. The Older translation versions were based on Masoretic Text (Hebrew) for the OT and the Byzantine Manuscripts (Greek) for the NT. The Newer translations are based on the Masoretic Text for the OT and the Alexandrian Manuscripts (minority text) for the NT. Note: listen to these videos about the corrupted Alexandrian Manuscripts – click Older Translations used the Byzantine Manuscripts 1. Wycliffe Bible (1382, 1395) 2. Tyndale Bible (1526–1535) 3. Coverdale Bible (1535) 4. Matthew’s Bible (1537) 5. Great Bible (1539) 6. Geneva Bible (1560) 7. Bishops’ Bible (1568) 8. King James Version (1611) The KJV remains one of the most well-known Byzantine-based English Bibles Newer Translations used the Alexandrian Manuscripts (sample version translations) 1. English Revised Version (ERV) – 1885 2. American Standard Version (ASV) – 1901 3. Revised Standard Version (RSV) – 1946 (NT), 1952 (full Bible) 4. New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) – 1989, 2021 (UE) There are over 450 Bible translations/versions in our world today – per AI. |
QURAN SUMMARY CRITICAL THINKING A. 2. The Angel Jibril told the leaders to make it so. 3. It read better. Because it read better meant it was correct? 4. Politics. End. |
KJV SUMMARY The King James version (KJV) and older Bible versions were translated into English from the Masoretic Text (Hebrew) for the OT and the Byzantine Manuscripts (Greek) for the NT. The newer Bibles now use the Masoretic Text for the OT and the Alexandrian Manuscripts for the NT – (TTGM believes these are corrupted manuscripts; listen to videos 1 & 2 that speak to the corruption). End. |
