WE EXAMINE WHAT ARE CALLED CONTRADICTIONS IN GOD’S WORD

God’s word is truth. Here TTGM examines more contradictions and seek to explain them by the word. The word of TRUTH. The following “contradictions” were presented to TTGM by FRIENDS.

We begin with the first contradiction….
How many horsemen are there?:
(2Sam 8:4 [KJV)]
And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.
Chariots – 1000
Horsemen – 700
Footmen – 20,000
TTGM Comments on 2Sam 8:4:
David took from the Syrians 1000 chariots and 700 horsemen that rode them. UNDERSTANDING CHARIOTS/TANKS. One man rode the chariots but they were made of teams consisting of 10 men (each man knew how to drive the chariot should the designated driver be killed. Teams of 10 changed out in the battle as it was a tiring task to run chariots). So each chariot had a team of 10 men. In the following verse, these men rebelled and were all killed (each man who rode the chariot along with his entire team 1+9=10). The men that David slew were the men of the 700 chariots which included each team of 10 altogether (10 x 700 = 7000).

And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

Chariots – in 1000
Horsemen – 7,000
Footmen – 20,000
TTGM Comments on 1Chr 18:4:
Chariots had teams of 10 men per chariot. The total number of men is recorded here in 1Chr 18:4.
In Conclusion:
The chariot was like a battle tank in those days. It consisted of a driver (horse driver) and a team of 9 (or half that number that would be on standby to change out when the men became tired). In Samuel, the number of drivers and the number of chariots were recorded (700). In Chronicles, the total number of chariot men was recorded (7000).
Eg. Each chariot in the Egyptian army had a captain.
(Exod 14:7 [KJV])
And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.
FINDINGS:
TTGM found translations of 2Sam 8:4 with…
KJV – 700 (horsemen)
NIV – 7000???
Most other bibles – 1,700???
How did the translators get 7000 and 1,700?
It appears they did not factor in how chariots worked with the number of men, and 2Sam 10:18 was not included. The KJV translators did inbody the entire context and rightfully came up with 700 horsemen. Also, we found scholarship quick to say “scribe error” whenever a contradiction turned up that they could not explain.

THE BIBLE IS MATHEMATICALLY STRUCTURED:

SCIENCE HAS FOUND EVIDENCE OF LIFE AFTER DEATH:
Science has found that man’s consciousness continues after clinical death. This finding is in keeping with what we already know from the Bible. Man has a spirit that lives on.
