PRAYING TO OUR ANCESTORS?
(Eccl 9:5 [KJV])
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Who exactly are these ancestors that modern-day Christians/Protestants are praying to? Why are these DEAD old men and women being prayed to? This paper takes a shallow dive into what "new" Christianity is now practicing. Beware...
1. Dr. Ray Hagins shows us how to pray to dead people (ancestors). "We are encouraged." (2:52)
Who exactly are these ancestors Dr Ray is praying to? Could they be Africans, old men, old women, drunks, prostitutes, pagans with no direction in life, or could it be old white men that our forefathers bowed down to on seeing them? ( some of these dead old white men impregnated our grandmothers)
As we always do, TTGM looks to the Word to give us wisdom from God. Pay attention, you that evoke the names of the DEAD.

If the dead do not know anything why do people pray to them? This is a practice long held by the Roman Catholic Church (about the Catholic church). This organization encourages its members to pray to the dead saints of God. THIS IS NOT TAUGHT IN GOD’S WORD. If you feel good praying to DEAD old people (bones) and calling out names, press ahead and enjoy yourself along with Dr Ray. Wisdom says to TTGM, the DEAD know nothing, and it makes no sense praying to them or calling out their names. We will only pray to our LIVING God.
