Bible versions (2) – Comparisons between The Majority (KJV) and Minority (NIV) Texts

This chart will compare the difference between the Minority Text (which are based upon mainly 2 corrupted New Testament manuscripts) and the Majority Text (which are based upon over 5,000 New Testament manuscripts).
For this study, the King James Version (KJV) New Testament will be used, since the KJV is based upon the Majority Text, and all bibles that use the Majority Text are relevant to these readings. The KJV will be compared to the New International Version (NIV) New Testament, since the NIV is based upon the Minority Text, and almost all bibles published since 1898 are relevant to these readings because they are based upon these same corrupted manuscripts.

This is an easy phrase for any non-scholar to understand, it means that they should be disassociated or separated from believers until they change their minds. The Minority Text has Paul cursing the legalists and wishing they would cut off their genitals. Is this a Christ-like example? |

What Jesus tasted on the cross was water mixed with vinegar, a common drink among the Roman soldiers. This vinegar did not necessarily come from grapes; it could be made from figs, palms, fermented grain extract, etc. Therefore, Jesus did not lie, and the Greek language bears this out. However, the great majority of English Bible translations including such popular ones as the NIV, NASB, NKJV, and the Amplified have Jesus contradict Himself. |

Some people say, “But it says something in the footnotes.” My response is: When you are reading your Bible do you look at the footnotes after every verse? Do you say “I am reading verse 3 so let me look below and see if something in verse 3 is missing.”? Even if you did do that (which you don’t) the footnotes say that the “best manuscripts” don’t have the verse–will you then agree with them that the verse doesn’t belong? If not, then why are you reading an NIV? Not all the word deletions are found in the footnotes of the NIV so don’t think for a second that they are letting you know all the changes they made.
Some people say, “You do not talk about the large section of Mark [referring to Mark 16:9-20] which was included with the provison that the earliest reliable manuscripts did not include that section.” My response is: That “provisional” statement is, at best, casting doubt on the word of God and at worst deleting the information in the footnotes. You say that the NIV says, the “most reliable” manuscripts don’t have it. That is as good as saying, “If you accept this rendering you are accepting an inferior, unreliable manuscript.” What they don’t tell you is that those same “reliable” manuscripts don’t even include the whole book of Revelation!!! If the manuscript is so reliable, then why didn’t they take out the whole book of Revelation? Mmm? Selective deletion?
In the Children’s NIV Bible, if one looks up the missing verses, such as Matthew 17:21, it is missing. But in this Children’s Bible it is typed out like this “20/21” and the 21st verse is still missing. They make you think that you read the 21st verse but it still is just the 20th verse! Can you believe it???!!!
If one looks at the JW “Bible”, the New World Translation (1961 ed.), and looks up all the verses that the NIV completely deletes. the Jehovah’s Witness Bible Deletes the exact same ones! I mean all of ’em! The only difference between the NIV and the New World Translation deletions is that the JW Bible does not include any footnotes!
The NIV has published a new American, gender-inclusive NIV. Gender-inclusive language renders “brother” to “brother and sister”. “Man” becomes “human beings”, etc. How many of us agree with calling a man a woman and man? If the NIV is so accurate, why is it changing the original masculine words to masculine and feminine? Because the NIV isnot accurate!
