2. Head Coverings – 119 Ministries (40:26)
119 Ministries does a very good presentation but on the point that head covering is not in the Torah commandments but only a man’s tradition, TTGM does not agree. Head covering was done at the time of Rebeka when she met her head (Isaac) – long before the NT. It is written.

For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

More importantly, head covering was a precept as Paul outlined in the following texts what the conditions are should you wear it as it applies to men and women. Note he used the word every (man & woman); and every means ALL. If not clear what a precept is, marriage is another example of a precept. There is nothing written about the wearing of veils in the commandments of the law but people understood what it meant for a woman to be covered. There was also nothing written about how two people should get married in the law (if you committed to someone, then knew them (sex) you were considered married by everyone). In the Old Testament, there are laws and also what is known as precepts. Again, what is a precept? It is a principle that was practiced and understood by God’s people. Concerning the precept of head covering, Paul by the Holy Ghost wrote.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. 5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

What should we do with precepts? Here David tells us.

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
