TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MINISTRY

RESPONSE TO SHOULD WOMEN PREACH IN CHURCH

Video Presentation: TTGM responds to key points made in this presentation. The speaker John Schoenheit gives reasons why women CAN speak in the church. TTGM will examine these reasons and give a response in light of scripture.

The points the speaker makes:
John has a doctrine that is only supported by his beliefs that there is a miss-translation of 1Tim2:12 and 1Cor14:34 was not included in the original Greek text. If we can show his claims are false, it would mean that John is in error in his interpretation of this doctrine.

1 Tim 2:12 is a mistranslation – per John.
TTGM checked several Bible versions that used both Antioch and Alexandrian manuscript texts. We found all of these verses were translated in the same way. Meaning? The translators translated the text in the same way to convey the same meaning. There is NO evidence of mistranslation found as John suggested.

From the Tyndale translation (Before KJV)
(1Tim 2:12 [Tyndale])
I suffre not a woman to teache nether to have auctoricie over a man: but forto be in silence.

Geneva Bible (Before KJV)
(1Tim 2:12 [Geneva])
I permit not a woman to teache, neither to vsurpe authoritie ouer the man, but to be in silence.

KJV Bible
(1Tim 2:12 [KJV])
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

NIV Bible (After KJV)
(1Tim 2:12 [NIV2])
I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.

Conclusion:
TTGM cannot support John’s claim that this verse was mistranslated based on the evidence. Can all these translators (Tyndale, Geneva, KJV and NIV) be wrong? NO, the translation is correct.

1 Cor 14:34 is not in the original Greek – per John.
TTGM checked across all the versions that had different scholars and different manuscripts and found all have included this verse.

The Tyndale version has it included.
(1Cor 14:34 [Tyndale])
Let youre wyves kepe silence in the cogregacions. For it is not permitted vnto them to speake: but let them be vnder obedience as sayth the lawe.

Geneva has it.
(1Cor 14:34 [Geneva])
Let your women keepe silence in the Churches: for it is not permitted vnto them to speake: but they ought to be subiect, as also the Lawe sayth.

KJV has it.
(1Cor 14:34 [KJV])
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

NIV has it.
(1Cor 14:34 [NIV2])
Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.

Final Conclusion:
Based on our findings TTGM cannot agree with John that this verse (1Cor 14:34) was not included in the original Greek.  John is in error on both counts. Therefore if 1Tim2:12 and 1Cor14:34 are true, John needs to reevaluate his understanding of his doctrine so as to remove his contradiction (error). Here is a man whose doctrine on this topic is not in error – WATCH.

WARNING to John and others that call the name of Yeshua (Christ)
God warns us not to add or take away from His word. It is written

(Deut 4:2 [KJV])
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

(Rev 22:19 [KJV])
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Should Women be Silent in the Church? The Voice of Women - John Schoenheit (10:22)

A short comment on what Paul meant with regards to the law.

(1Cor 14:34 [KJV])
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

As also saith the law refers to a woman being in obedience; according to the commandment (nb. the commandmets are contained in the law). The law states that a woman must be in obedience to the man. It is written.

(Gen 3:16 [KJV])
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he (man) shall rule over thee (woman).

A man is the head of the woman and she should be in obedience to him. When a person rules, the others are to obey. Exp. Sarah was in obedience, calling her husband Lord. It is written.

(Gen 18:12 [KJV])
Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord (Abraham) being old also?

(1Pet 3:6 [KJV])
Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

ADVICE:
Women, obey your husbands that it will be well with you and your house (Your Head being the man – father, husband or firstborn son). Divine order in the body of Christ is required.
