ARE YOU TRULY SAVED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD?
(Matt 7:23 [KJV])
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity:
Are you saved in the name of the Lord? This question should never be taken lightly by anyone. Why? If the answer is yes, then you take it that the person has eternal life and destined to an eternity with our Lord. If the answer is no, then you understand you have a lost soul and ministering to get a turnaround is required or else they are destined to an eternity in damnation (at least for some evangelical believers they will try their best to get a turnaround).

Have you ever been driving on a long road trying to find someplace? Then you see someone that looks like they know where it is, and they tell you which direction to go. With confidence you head off in the direction without a second thought, full speed ahead only to find out later you were guided to a dead end or cliff. Not a good feeling. I believe this is the tragedy in Christianity; many are on the wrong road because they are not taught what the word says.
Getting to the meat of the matter, there is a doctrine that is not taught correctly, that describes once you have been saved, you are always saved. There are more doctrines but to save time and space we will only highlight this one. Let us look at the Biblical text to see what it says concerning the people that are not saved.
(Matt 7:22-23 [KJV])
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
What we first notice is that these people are calling on the name of the Lord (like many do today), they prophesy, they cast out devils as well as do wonderful works (eg; sing, dance, help the poor, tend to the sick etc). We can only conclude these are no backsliders or “unsaved” people. Why? The unsaved do not call on the name of the Lord to cast out devils etc.
Here is the answer, these people work iniquity. So the conclusion is if you call on the name of the Lord and you work iniquity you will be rejected from the Kingdom of God. Based on this scripture, the question is not are you saved, but rather DOES CHRIST KNOW YOU? And if you say yes, the next question should be, DO YOU WORK INIQUITY? Therefore, if you think Christ knows you and yet you work iniquity, YOU WILL BE REJECTED.
If you want to be sure of your salvation and that Christ knows you, you need to do your own due diligence to find out what INIQUITY means in the Book of God. Leave it to no one to tell you what they think or feel. Why? The answer must come from scripture and you must know it to be true for yourself. Why? Getting it wrong would mean that you will spend all eternity in deep regret (rejected and alone forever). Before you read on, watch these presentations on the sinners’ prayer.

WHAT IS INIQUITY? Iniquity will keep you out of God’s Glory because if you work iniquity, He will tell you to depart from Him (Yeshua).
(Matt 7:23[KJV])
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work INIQUITY.
As we always do, we will let scripture tell you what iniquity is.
Iniquity must be forgiven by God. This means that iniquity is sin.
(Exod 34:7 [KJV])
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
Even if you do not know you break the commandments, you are still guilty and you have to bear your iniquity (sin). Ignorance of the law/commandments is no excuse from the penalty (judgment)
(Lev 5:17 [KJV])
And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist (wist=know) it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
One more.
(Ps 51:2 [KJV])
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Now, look at what our Lord said that we must do if we Love Him, “we must keep His commandments”.
(John 14:15 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Our Lord as He usually does was quoting from the Torah..
Exod 20:6 [KJV])
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
If we say we love Him and do not obey His commandments as in Lev 5:17, we are guilty of working iniquity (sin). You ask what commandments? Answer: The commandments contained in the Torah. Here is a paper that shows why Yeshua meant the Torah – The Word quoted from the word.

Now if you have not got it yet, there are two components needed for salvation. Keeping God’s commandments (component 1) and love/faith/belief/following Yeshua (component 2).
Are you still thinking that you only need Yeshua and you can live as you please? Here is the Proof from the Word:
(Rev 14:12 [KJV])
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God (component 1 = obedience), and the faith of Jesus (component 2 = love).

Now the question is, why does the church not teach that working iniquity will keep us out of the Kingdom?
Watch this presentation; in the early century, the church created a gentile Jesus with a different doctrine that is based on lies and pagan practices. Today the church practices iniquity (sin) without knowing it. Why? They do not study the commandments/law to know what sin is.

(2Tim 3:16 [KJV])
All scripture (Torah or the prophets only as no New Testament was around yet) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
