Iniquity is the transgression of God’s law in a willful way; NOT ROMAN/MAN’s law, but GOD’S LAW. God’s law is called the Torah. The meaning of the word Torah is “instruction”. God gave us His people instructions on how to live (Old Testament). We all sin, but we do not all do it in a willful way. This is what the workers of iniquities do.
IDENTIFYING MORE HIDDEN INIQUITIES IN THE NEW COVENANT?
1. Now look at this iniquity (willful sin). The other day you sent a message out to Christians about joining a club. You asked them whether they would join. Some answered yes/no, while others did not bother to answer you. They just ignored you. Now, we examine the people who did not answer. They work iniquity. They transgress this commandment (instruction).
(Matthew 7:12 [KJV])
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
In other words, do unto others as you would want them to do to you.
Note: This word can be applied to every area of life. If you do not know the command or how to respond, just ask yourself, what would you want done to me? As long as it is not a sin, you are good to go. 
Yes, it seems small; why bother? Our God HATES it/sin, big and small; get it far from you.
