ON
SHOULD CHRISTIANS GIVE THEIR TITHES TO THE CHURCH?
(Mal 3:8 [KJV])
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Should Christians give their tithes to church organizations?
Tithing was introduced in the old testament by God to the people of Israel. The context of tithing was designed for the people to give towards the Leviticus priesthood.
The Levites (Leviticus priesthood) did not own land so they were not able to make gains in personal supplies for themselves and household, so God commanded the people of Israel to give to the Levites (into the storehouse). What was given was the produce that came from the land. Money existed in the old testament then, but God directed produce from the land be given (not money).

TTGM: Many church leaders today teach the doctrine of tithing out of context using voodoo interpretations – see presentation 2. What they should be teaching is the ministry of giving (and not money only). To all ministers; preach truth and it will be well with you and your household.
