ON
DID GOD CREATE EVIL?
(Isa 45:7 [KJV])
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Did God create evil? ANSWER: Yes. And if He did, why?
Let us examine the scripture point by point.
(Isa 45:7 [KJV])
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Darkness is displaced by light. What does this mean? The creation of light brings with it the necessity of darkness (in the absence of light God created darkness).
Peace is displaced by evil. What does this mean? The creation of peace brings with it the necessity of evil (in the absence of peace, God created evil).
In our created world:
Man makes a car, should a car crash into a wall, what is the result? The result is a crumpled car. Man did not have to make the car crumple when it hit the wall as this is already created into our world by our God; by the law of mass times acceleration. It is the same with light and peace. If God did not create darkness, what would you have if there was no light? If God did not create evil, what would you have if there was no peace?
In other words, when God created the “state of being” (peace), He had to also create the “Result” (evil) if peace is not kept. Getting back to the car. God had to create the result as to what happens to the metal if it is impacted at a high velocity. God has physical laws that determine what happens in the material realm and God has also created laws that determine what happens in the spiritual realm.
Important to Note: Both peace and evil are a state of mind, it is not a tangible or material part of God’s creation. We have the CHOICE to do evil or to live in peace by keeping the law/commandments of God.
When we keep/love the law of God we will have peace. It is written.
(Ps 119:165 [KJV])
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
When we do not keep the law of God evil will come upon us. It is written.
(Jer 6:19 [KJV])
Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
