TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MINISTRY

COMMENTARY

ON

CAN NEPHILIM BE SAVED THROUGH REPENTANCE?

(Acts 2:38 [KJV])
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

This information is critical to your salvation, and it is a doctrine that is seldom taught to churchgoers. TTGM is going to break it down in simple logical steps so that you would clearly understand the meaning to “repentance”.

First, we are going to look at what repentance (repent) means in Greek as it is the first thing you must do to be saved.

Repent = G3340 μετανοέω metanoeo (me-ta-no-e’-ō) v.

  1. to have a change of mind and heart, i.e. to reconsider and relent.
  2. (morally) to have remorse and repent.

KJV: repent

As you can see it means a change of mind and heart from the things you do.

So the question is; what does God want us to change in mind and heart when we come to Him for deliverance?

The answer is “SIN”

Now, the full understanding of what sin is, is NOT taught to the people who initially come to the Lord. TTGM will show you what it is.

What is sin? Sin is the transgression of God’s law; it is written.
(1John 3:4 [KJV])
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

What is God’s law?
God’s law are the words given to Moses by God (Torah). Note, the commandments are contained in the law. Also, note that Moses was told to teach them (commandments and law).
(Exod 24:12 [KJV])
And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I (God) will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

The law or commandments are also known as:

The law of Moses = The commandments of God = The commandments = The law of God = Torah = The Word

The Word? Yes, the same word David is speaking about in the following verse. The only part of the Word that reflects on sin are God’s commandments.
(Ps 119:11 [KJV])
Thy word (commandments) have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Churchgoers are taught that the only commandments they need to follow are ten, two or one (depending on who you talk to). TTGM has asked these churchgoers to show the scripture that states that believers only need to keep ten, two or one. To date, none of the churchgoers have returned with the scripture. Why? There is no scripture that teaches such, this is a doctrine of man (deception). The law has over 400 commandments.

SO THE QUESTION IS: IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE LAW, HOW CAN YOU KNOW WHAT SIN IS?

At this point, we ask you to start to think for yourself. What comes from most pulpits are the traditions and doctrines of men. We pray your mind is clear to understand as you press on.

ARE WE TO KNOW THE LAW/COMMANDMENTS OF GOD?

Yes, we are to know the commandments of God; after we know them we are to teach the nations. Again teach what? read verse 20 – it is written.
(Matt 28:19-20 [KJV])
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The instruction from Yeshua (Jesus) as to what to teach is made clear again here as He said…
(Matt 5:17-19 [KJV])
Think not that I am come to destroy the lawor the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them (commandments), the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Our mission as believers is to teach the commandments as instructed by Yeshua (rem: Exod 24:12). If you do and teach them, you will be called great in God’s Kingdom.

Here He (Yeshua) expects us to keep His commandments; it is written.
(John 14:15 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

If you have truly repented, it means that you will keep ALL the commandments of God; by doing this, it will be your patience; it is written.
(Rev 14:12 [KJV])
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (NOT TRULY REPENTED)?

When you do not keep or know the commandments of God, you will work iniquity (iniquity is sin or the transgression of God’s law). In fact, today this is what the many (majority) do as mentioned earlier, the churchgoers are not taught about all the commandments, so they come to God in ignorance and they continue in their sin; for it is written.
(Matt 7:22-23 [KJV])
Many (many means majority in the Greek) will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (again, iniquity means transgression of God’s law in Greek).

In the above text, these people are in the church building believing in God and saying Lord, Lord. These are not people in the world. Why not? People in the world do not call on the name of Lord to cast out devils. These are the people that “repented” but were never told what sin is, they continued in their iniquity. This is the sad state that many churchgoers are in today, they have been deceived by the doctrine of men.

Do you (“few”) keep the commandments of God or are you like the “many” that ignore them? What does God think of you if you say you know Him/ have faith/ love Him, and do NOT keep His commandments?

(1John 2:4 [KJV])
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth NOT his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO GET RIGHT WITH GOD AND TRULY REPENT?

Be humble and ask God to forgive you and tell Him you will learn the commandments to obey them (turn your mind and heart away from sin). Then start to read the Torah and when you see God’s direction (thou shalt not and thou shalt etc) follow His word and keep His commandments. Hide His word in your heart and keep on the narrow path. Also, read Psalms 119. When you have truly committed to following Him, He will give you the helper and comforter (Holy Ghost).

WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT SIN IS, YOU CAN KEEP AWAY FROM IT AND NO LONGER WORK INIQUITY!
