Our approach to this study will be to look at this question from two perspectives, 1. Man’s tradition 2. God’s Word. TTGM will use source documents/statements from leading influencers that are associated with the Anglican Church.

TRADITION AND REASONING
1. Anglican stated beliefs in salvation, in Yeshua (Jesus) alone (only) – Taken from their 39 articles of faith and then a Minister.

The 39 Articles of Religion are the essential beliefs of the Anglican church codified. The articles were established by a Convocation of the Church in 1563, using as a basis the 42 Articles written under the direction of Thomas Cranmer in 1553.

Article 15.
Of Christ alone without Sin. Christ in the truth of our nature was made like unto us in all things, sin only except, from which he was clearly void, both in his flesh, and in his spirit. He came to be the Lamb without spot, who, by sacrifice of himself once made, should take away the sins of the world; and sin (as Saint John saith) was not in him. But all we the rest, although baptized and born again in Christ, yet offend in many things; and if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Article 18.
Of obtaining eternal Salvation only by the Name of Christ. They also are to be had accursed that presume to say, That every man shall be saved by the Law or Sect which he professeth, so that he be diligent to frame his life according to that Law, and the light of Nature. For Holy Scripture doth set out unto us only the Name of Jesus Christ, whereby men must be saved.

TTGM: In the above articles (15 & 18) we see that the Anglican Church’s statements/reasoning is supported by the Word of God. We will show later what the Word of God states.

THE DOCTRINAL CHANGE
In 2009 the following article quoted an Anglican Minister by the name of Rev Katharine Jefferts Schori. This article shows the change from the article of faith.

JESUS is a way, but not the only way to salvation, the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Most Rev Katharine Jefferts Schori has told members of the Diocese of Quincy. 

At a special convention called by the Presiding Bishop to reconstitute the diocese around the four congregations that did not secede to the Province of the Southern Cone last year, on April 4 Bishop Jefferts Schori spoke of her own theological views at a question-and-answer session.

 Approximately 300 people gave the presiding bishop a “rousing greeting on her first visit to Peoria and the Diocese of Quincy. In stark contrast to the previous synod meeting, at which she was vilified as the chief architect of what former leaders claimed was the Episcopal Church’s departure from traditional Christian beliefs, [Bishop] Jefferts Schori received a warm and jubilant welcome,” Episcopal News Service reported.

 In response to a question from the audience about her personal beliefs, the presiding bishop said that to insist Jesus is the only way to God is to “limit God.” She said that God was at work in the lives of other faiths. “God is, at the very least, a mystery,” Bishop Jefferts Schori said.

 “God’s intention is for a restored relationship with all humanity. My job is to proclaim the good news of Jesus, but I cannot deny God is not at work in other ways,” she said, according to ENS.

THE BIBLE AND THE BIBLE ALONE
2. The Bible Speaks on the way to Salvation (Is there another way?)  – All quotes are taken from the KJV (Why KJV)

(Acts 4:12 [KJV])
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

(John 4:42 [KJV])
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

(John 3:16-17 [KJV])
For God so loved the world (everyone), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him (no one else mentioned) should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Now observe the word “way” and how it is used in the singular form.
(Prov 14:12 [KJV])
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

(John 14:5-6 [KJV])
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

CONCLUSION:
In the above verses, it is crystal clear that there is no other name, religion, or person that is the “way” to salvation. The only way is through Yeshua/Jesus. In fact, when we search the scripture we can find NO SUPPORTING VERSES for the doctrine that points to, “other ways to Salvation/Heaven/God’s Kingdom/God”. People in Christian ministries make all kinds of statements (personal beliefs), do we believe them, or should we believe the Bible (THE WORD OF GOD)? If you no longer believe what the bible says, why take it with you to church? hmmm, Do these people still take the Bible to church?

WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE THAT NEVER MEET OR EVEN HEAR ABOUT CHRIST, ARE THEY DOOMED TO HELL?
Before we answer this question we must first make the following statements to establish our understanding of God.
1. God does NOT lie. If God’s word says Yeshua is the only way to the Father, He is the only way (Num 23:19).
2. In our world there are many people that have been locked away from the Gospel message. They were never exposed to the Gospel message of the Bible.
3. God chooses us (His people) we do not choose Him (Jn 15:16)
4. God is merciful to them that seek Him and want to serve Him (Exod 20:6). 

AGAIN, ARE PEOPLE DOOMED TO HELL IF THEY DO NOT HEAR ABOUT CHRIST FROM ANOTHER MAN?
NO…
The following is from our personal observation.

There are many ex-Muslims that have never been directly ministered to concerning Yeshua. What God the Father in His mercy has done is to allow Yeshua to visit them personally to show them He is the way. There is evidence that God knows who He wants and He reaches out directly to them in dreams and visions – Watch. We encourage you to observe for yourself by listening to the testimonies of ex-Muslims and others that come to Christ by dreams and visions. We at TTGM believe that this act of God repeats itself to them that are known by God.
