WHAT IS THE TRINITY?

Video Presentation (5:53): Here Lex explains to the best of his ability the meaning of the trinity from scripture. Read Here for more.

First God is beyond our understanding. Can we the created really understand our Creator? To this day we still cannot understand how gravity works or where it comes from. What we can understand about God, is how He has revealed Himself to us.

In the Old Testament He is..

The "us" (meaning more than one)
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

He is the Father...
Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

In the New Testament, the Son of God is introduced to us as being God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (Yeshua/Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So we have the "us" described as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but yet we have one God. It is like you have two people, after they are joined they shall be "one flesh".
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

In Conclusion, what do we have? We have God revealing Himself to us in the person of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and there is "one God" (spiritual). We have Adam and Eve and they are "one flesh" (physical).

Only God knows what or how He will reveal Himself to us when we get over on the other side.

Be Blessed.
