TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MINISTRY

ON
BE SURE OF YOUR SALVATION

(Mark 16:15-16 [KJV])

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

CAN YOU BE SURE THAT YOU ARE SAVED AND GOING TO BE WITH THE LORD IN HIS KINGDOM?

Understanding salvation and iniquity

Can you be 200% sure you are saved? TTGM asked a similar question to several “believers” in Christ and most said they were not sure. One said that they will have to wait until they get over on the other side to find out. These answers were a bit of a surprise for TTGM, but in light of no teaching on the subject, people are just not sure what will happen to them if death visits.

This page is dedicated to all brothers and sisters in the Lord, may you find comfort in knowing that your salvation is secure and you have no need for worry.

You must first know that they are many right now that preach the gospel that will not enter into the kingdom of God. In fact Yeshua (Jesus) will say He never knew them. We pray that this will not be found of you, so as you go forward in your reading, pay close attention to what is required to make your salvation in the Lord sure.

The following are said to have done many wonderful works, yet our Lord never knew them. Again, let this not be found of you.

(Matt 7:21-23[KJV])

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

SALVATION: The question is not if you are saved, but rather does Yeshua know you?

To be known by Yeshua you must BELIEVE. Yeshua himself gives us the requirement (notice He did not say you should pray the sinners pray).

(Mark 16:15-16  [KJV])
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Proof Positive: Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch (note, no sinners prayer)
(Acts 8:36-38 [KJV])
And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said,
If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

---- ---- ---- -----

So the question is; what is this gospel that should be believed? We will breakdown the message of the gospel as shared by our Lord’s apostles.

1.       You must believe in the written truth; it must be based on God’s word. This is why people that believe a false gospel are lost (eg: Mormons, Catholics, Pentecostals or anyone that serves the doctrines of men). Another gospel refers to what men teach. Man-made doctrines are to please men. When “believers” follow man’s doctrines they are not serving Christ. There is a very good chance this is the “Lord, Lord” group that will be told to depart.

(Gal 1:8-10 [KJV])
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

2.       You must believe that Yeshua is the ONLY Son of God and He is the only one that can save you. It is His name that we MUST place above all others/things/gods/money/gold/riches/people/religion/yourself. We are called by His name when we believe and have faith in Him. Remember the rich young ruler (Matt 19: 16-24), when he was asked to sell all that he had and follow Christ. His trust was in his riches and he chose to keep them first in his life.

(Acts 4:12 [KJV])
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

3.       You must believe in keeping His commandments. Keeping His commandments is required by all that believe in Him. Our obedience to His commandments demonstrates our love for Him. When you are given over to following the commandments, you will submit to baptism, you will be repentant; you will obey all of His laws/commandments that are written. Notice what happens after you keep His commandments – You will get the Spirit of Truth.

(John 14:15-17 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Consider the following from John 14:15-17:

Yeshua says if you love Him, to keep His commandments, “and He will pray to the Father, so that you will get the comforter”. So the question is, if you refuse to keep His commandments would He still give you the comforter (the Spirit of Truth)? Remember the comforter’s job is to teach and let you know things in spirit. Read item 4.

Also the workers of workers iniquity in Matt 7:23 are breaking the law. Why? The word in the Greek for iniquity (ἀνομία anomia) speaks to the transgression or violation of the law (commandments of God).

G458 ἀνομία anomia (a-no-miy'-a) n.

1. illegality, i.e. violation of law.

2. (genitive case) wickedness.

[from G459]

KJV: iniquity, X transgress(-ion of) the law, unrighteousness

Root(s): G459

4.       Now after you receive the Spirit of truth He gives you the same assurance of salvation that all the believers in the BOOK had. You will know if you believe that you are saved, you will know that Yeshua knows you - and without doubt.

(Rom 8:16 [KJV])
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

CRITICAL: if you do not believe the truth (and rather believe what men teach) the scripture says you are dammed (Mark 16:16 …... but he that believeth not shall be damned).

Why? Not to believe what God said, is to call God a liar. To call God a liar and follow after something or someone else results in a person being dammed. So we are to believe and thereby not call God a liar. Let us have the faith in God’s word….BELIEVE IN YESHUA/CHRIST. God will then give you the gift of grace (salvation). Note the thief on the cross (Luke 23:43), he believed, he told Yeshua, remember me…; Yeshua responded – today you will be with me in paradise (again, no sinners pray)

(1John 5:10 [KJV])
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Truth shared + believing in Yeshua for salvation (based on truth shared) + keeping the commandments in love for Yeshua + The Spirit of Truth is given = You know you are saved because the Spirit that is given beareth witness with your spirit (Rom 8:16).

----   ----   ----

TTGM Summary: It is by having faith in what we believe (God’s truth) that saves us. To not believe is to call our God a liar. Lastly, obey the commandments of God and NOT the commandments of men. As the scripture says, should you follow the commandments of men, you will be forever lost; do not be a worker of iniquity (violate God’s laws).

Believing in Yeshua leads to grace, following the commandments shows your obedience. And when the time comes..

(Rev 14:12 [KJV])
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the [1] commandments of God, and the [2] faith of Jesus.

------ ** ----- ** ------

If you have doubted (not have faith in what you believe), it would be a good start to ask for forgiveness. Why? Whatever is not of faith is sin.

(Rom 14:23 [KJV])
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

May you be blessed
